When I was 22, after some terrible teenage years spent in ungodly living, I found Christ. A few months after that, the Lord gave me the first song, We Believe, as I was memorising 2Cor.5:17 – the first verse in the Navigators’ Topical Memory System. Turns out the song describes my own life and journey. Since I was immersed in rock music before conversion, naturally this was a slow rock song which my Christian band Cross Culture had later performed a number of times.
