I decided to work on a quiet worship album featuring female vocals – with the help of the Suno AI music generator. Trust these demos would be an encouragement to you in your quieter moments. I wrote all the words and music during different seasons of my journey of faith with the Lord. I want to thank Nigel Tan for helping me with the musical arrangement and his amazing guitar riffs on track #1 Undying Passion.
For instance, track #4 They That Wait incorporates a beautiful old song, They That Wait Upon the Lord (written by Stuart Hamblen, published in 1953 by Hamblen Music). While leading worship during a prayer meeting at Paya Lebar Methodist Church, I felt led to sing the first part of Isa.40:31 as monotonously as possible so that the words are prominently featured in the foreground while the melody fades into the background. After singing that one line many times, I asked the Holy Spirit what I should do next, and he brought back to mind the chorus by Stuart Hamblen and so I sang it.
Track #6 New Song was another new song birthed amidst a prayer meeting – I think at Cairnhill Methodist Church. Ps.40:3 kept coming back to my mind and I just sang it out.
May the Holy Spirit use these songs to minister deeply into your souls.
